Even as a little kid, I wanted to attend Stanford. To me, the school represented an exciting scientific, future-forward spirit.
While an undergraduate at Stanford, I spent a year abroad in Oxford to study theology, which was not offered at Stanford. This study was important to me, because it helped me to better understand the Roman Catholic belief system into which I was raised. My year in Oxford was one of the most intellectually fulfilling and simply enjoyable times in my life.
